About Me
Kaitlin Eastland
Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist
#110412
Hello, I'm Kaitlin, a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a deep-rooted connection to the beautiful Bay Area. Born and raised in this vibrant region, I understand the unique and often demanding stressors that life here can present.
I hold a master's degree in Holistic Counseling Psychology from JFK University, a program that has enriched my practice with a holistic perspective that incorporates the mind, body, and spirit in therapeutic work.
As an empath, I have an innate ability to connect with the emotions and experiences of others, fostering a strong sense of empathy and understanding. I believe that the most profound and transformative relationship one can nurture is the one they have with themselves. This core belief is at the heart of my therapeutic approach.
I am truly passionate about helping teens and adults navigate the challenges of life, develop resilience, and find the inner peace that allows for personal growth and self-acceptance. Together, we can embark on a journey of self-discovery and transformation, fostering a healthier and more fulfilling life.

My Therapeutic Approach
Holistic
I take an integrative approach to therapy by honoring the relationship between body, mind, and spirit.
I draw upon Polyvagal Theory, Mindfulness-based practices, Somatics, and Expressive Arts to invite healing at all levels.
By acknowledging the interconnectedness between feelings, thoughts, and physical sensations, my clients are able to better understand themselves as a whole person.
Relational
The relationship between therapist and client is known to be one of the most crucial aspects of psychodynamic therapy. It is my utmost priority to create a safe, non-judgmental environment so that trust can be built and clients can express their true selves without fear.
It is often through secure connections with others that the most profound healing can occur. It brings me great joy to help my clients foster fulfilling relationships with themselves and other important people in their lives.
Individualized
There is no one-size-fits-all approach in therapy. By taking the time to understand my client’s temperament, personal & cultural background, as well as their desired goals for therapy, I am able to tailor therapy sessions to best meet their individual needs.
Whether that means bringing humor and playfulness into sessions, using a more structured/directive approach, or sensitively holding space for heavy emotions, the support I provide is dynamic and collaborative.
Services
Teens
Therapy for teens is incredibly useful for long-term success and growth, which can serve them throughout their life. While some schools have begun integrating SEL into curriculum, there are so many social-emotional skills that young people are lacking, making it harder for teens to learn how to communicate effectively, regulate their emotions, and build resilience.
I provide psycho-education and skill building to the teens I work with so they have a deeper understanding of their experiences and are able to identify ways to advocate for their needs. Increasing awareness and understanding of self empowers teens to make healthy choices, face challenging situations, and feel hopeful about their futures.
Adults
I offer psychotherapy services for adults seeking greater fulfillment and contentment in their lives. In our therapeutic journey we will work together to identify unmet needs and desires, uncovering the barriers that may be hindering personal growth.
Through a holistic and client-centered approach, I aim to empower individuals to live more authentically and with intention. I especially enjoy helping clients build more intimacy in relationships, transform habitual thinking patterns, and create healthy boundaries.
Parent Consultation
It can be of great benefit to keep parents in the loop regarding their teen’s treatment. The existence of a supportive parent-child relationship is important for teens because of the fundamental role it plays in their emotional, social, and psychological environment.
While respecting my client’s confidentiality, I work to integrate therapeutic support within the home by providing parent consultation, joint sessions, and by connecting parents to additional resources to fit their specific needs.
Areas of specialty include: anxiety, depression, self-esteem, grief & loss, relationship issues, family-of-origin issues, stress, low motivation, coping skills, spirituality, parent-child relationships

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you take insurance?
I am an out of network provider for all insurances. You will be responsible for full payment at the time of your appointment.
Some insurance plans do provide reimbursement benefits for therapy services. If requested, I can provide you with a superbill that you can submit to insurance for potential reimbursement.
Please note that a superbill requires a formal mental health diagnosis that will become a part of your permanent health record. I encourage you to consult directly with your insurance to understand what is covered under your plan before requesting and submitting a superbill.
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellations may be requested via email or text within at least 24 hours in advance of appointment time.
Without notice of cancellation within this 24 hour window you will be charged your full session fee without refund.
Are your sessions In-person or via Telehealth?
I provide both in-person and telehealth sessions at this time.
How often do I need to attend therapy?
Building rapport with your therapist and learning to apply skills learned in sessions to life outside of the therapy office most often requires consistent and regular therapy. One session per week is the standard, especially when starting out.
Many people want to do therapy every other week. This may be fine for your needs as well. However, I ask that weekly therapy occur for a couple months before we drop down to every other week in order to build rapport and get good momentum going.
Whatever your frequency preference, lets discuss it together and find a frequency that best fits your needs, and lifestyle.
